What’s it about?

The Depaul Raft Race Against Homelessness is a fun night out for you and your colleagues or friends. It comprises a series of races between teams of 4, on pre-made rafts. Each team will take part in two heats with winners going into the Final. The team who wins will take home the Winners’ Cup!

When is it happening?

The Raft Race takes place in the evening of the last Thursday in June. The 2021 Raft Race is currently scheduled for the 24th June.

Where does it take place?

Racing takes place in Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2. Rafts are positioned on the quayside facing the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

How much does it cost?

Teams of 4 are €400, or simply €100 per person. To initially register your team it’s just €40, with the balance of €360 due by event night. While €400 is the minimum target, you can go beyond this and we encourage you to do so. All team fundraising goes directly to support people experiencing homelessness.

What do I need to bring?

There’s no prep required – just show up on the night! We’ll provide the rafts, oars and life jackets, music, goodies and fun!

Registration for next year’s event will open in early 2021. To provisionally reserve rafts at this stage, just contact Cliodhna at cliodhna.carthy@depaulcharity.net or on 086 417 0357
