Part-Time & Full-Time Volunteers | Depaulcharity

Depaul helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Part-Time & Full-Time Volunteers

Our volunteers help us tremendously by carrying out a wide range of roles across services, administration, fundraising and communications.

Volunteers in our services help service users feel valued, feel at home and also help them to develop a sense of self-worth and confidence. Our service users come from a wide variety of backgrounds and have a range of complex issues. These may include mental health issues, domestic violence, bereavement, unemployment, alcohol and addiction issues, etc.

Those who volunteer by helping us out with administration tasks and in our Fundraising & Communications Department, provide vital assistance in supporting the work of our services and those experiencing homelessness.

Part-time volunteers give a minimum of 2-4 hours per week. Full-time volunteers give 20+ hours per week. These hours may vary depending on the specific role or volunteer's availability.

Please see our list of Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Receptionist, Welcoming, Musician, Barber/Hairdresser/Beautician, Breakfast Club, Arts & Crafts, In-House Befriender, Excercise/Holistic Therapy, Computer Tutor, Cooking Class and Weekend Activities.

Due to the ongoing situation surrounding Covid-19, we are not currently in a position to recruit new part-time volunteers to join our services. However, we do foresee this changing soon, to incorporate online, virtual and socially distanced volunteer roles.

In the meantime, if you have any ideas for activities that can be conducted safely, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
