As an organisation Depaul believes in a housing-led approach to solving homelessness. The Housing First model was adopted by Depaul as the best practice to achieve this goal for its service users.

This report outlines the Fidelity Assessment of Depaul’s Belfast and Derry/Londonderry Housing First Services.

Report Findings:

Depaul Housing First services operate with a high level of fidelity to the internationally recognised standards for Housing First.

There were 87 successful placements made by the Belfast and Derry teams from 2015 to 2017.

In Belfast 78% of service users remained in accommodation after two years.

In Derry 72% of service users remained in accommodation after two years.
