Rosa's Place

Rosa’s Place opened in November 2023 as a dedicated unit for women who have been identified as potential victims of human trafficking. It is a pilot project, one that has already shown a hugely positive impact on its clients. We hope to see many more services like Rosa’s Place established in the near future, for both women and men, to continue this vital work.

What we do:

Rosa’s Place provides an 8-bed residential unit for women recovering from significant trauma, often associated with sexual and/or physical abuse, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and PTSD.

This includes:

  • Accommodation: Eight private double bedrooms, a communal sitting room, kitchen/dining area, two shared bathrooms, and a laundry room. Providing a safe, private space for rest and undisturbed sleep is essential for recovery.
  • Specialised Case Work: Trauma-informed support tailored to the complex needs of each client. This involves helping women navigate the National Referral Mechanism and access legal entitlements, including immigration, welfare, and healthcare supports.
  • Individual Support Plans: Co-designed with each client to identify personal goals and pathways toward independence.
  • Collaborative Support: Working closely with a network of specialist agencies, such as counselling services, healthcare providers, legal advisors, and education or employment supports.
  • Core Values: Building trusting relationships and offering consistent, compassionate care to empower women to regain control and move forward.
