Will you Be Part of the Solution?

There are currently 13,841 people who are homeless in Ireland today.

This figure doesn’t include people sleeping on our streets – in tents and doorways across Ireland.

And for the most vulnerable – the ill, the elderly, the youngest among us – life on the streets is life-threatening.

Sleep out. Be part of the solution.

Will you brave the cold night by swapping their warm beds for a sleeping bag and a hard floor?

Your Impact – Preventing a Life on the Streets

Caitriona was just teenager when she spent her first night on the streets.

“I would pick up my things at night – sleeping bag and that – from where I had them hidden. I would hope they were still dry, because it’s all I had. Then I would find somewhere away from people and noise, and sleep there for the night.

You have to really look after yourself out there. You have to stay away from others, because you can’t trust anyone. There are so many terrible things young people can get drawn into – you don’t know half the dangers until you’re out there yourself.”

When you sleep out for Depaul, you’re giving someone like Caitriona shelter and care – free from fear.
