Individuals who use our emergency services come from all walks of life and from a variety of circumstances that have resulted in homelessness. Our emergency accommodation services benefit from an Assertive Engagement Programme which aims to support service users as much as possible during their short stay in emergency accommodation. The Assertive Engagement worker helps people to identify more suitable longer term accommodation and also supports them in accessing their rights and entitlements.

Our emergency services are:

Blessington Street

Opened in 2014, Depaul provides 16 beds in its Blessington Street Service which provides emergency homeless accommodation in Dublin.

Originally opened as a Cold Weather Initiative; a humanitarian response to homelessness during the coldest months of the year, Blessington Street now provides a warm bed, an evening meal, a breakfast and access to shower facilities all year round.

The service is a one-night-only service.

Contact Blessington Street on 018601703.
