Depaul’s Cosán Nua or ‘New Path’ service has been working with people living in Direct Provision since March 2019. The service was born out of our continued work with our Migrant Homeless Action Team.
Cosán Nua is an inter-county Depaul Service. We support people in Direct Provision who have received their status, have the right to remain in the country and now are ready to move on from Direct Provision.
Our Case Management Workers provide focused support towards resettlement and community integration. We also act as a referral agent to access specialised supports in the areas of mental health, addiction, education, training, employment, legal, etc.
Cosan Nua works with people residing in Direct Provision in counties all across Ireland including Dublin, Meath, Sligo, Galway, Monaghan, Mayo, Louth, Westmeath and Longford.
Cosan Nua is delivered in partnership with the Department of Justice in Ireland.
Referrals are accepted through the International Protection Accommodation Service.
