Depaul will consider applications for student placements in our services on a rolling basis. For their placement, students are offered the opportunity to become a voluntary member of the Depaul team at a particular service.
The time commitment for student placements in this role may vary, depending on both the needs of the service and the academic requirements of the placement. In previous years, our services have generally preferred longer-term placements. This allows students sufficient time for a thorough induction and training period, and supports deeper learning by enabling them to build meaningful professional relationships with staff, service users, and the team of volunteers.
Student placements can be full time or part time. Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for a student placement.
To apply, or for more information, please get in touch with the volunteer coordinator at volunteerni@depaulcharity.net
Depaul has a number of placement opportunities across all of our services which generally follow the academic calendar for third level students and align to our general recruitment rounds for volunteers. We currently have a partnership with the following ROI & NI universities.
