Norman chose Depaul Ireland to donate 30 of his paintings from his ‘Homelessness’ collection.
All funds raised will go to support Depaul Ireland. Depaul supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. As part of the international Depaul group, it is inspired by Vincentian values of dignity, compassion, and respect for every person. Services include emergency accommodation, supported housing, and programmes that help people move toward stable, independent living.
Alongside a practical roof over someone’s head, Depaul offers personal support, including casework, health and wellbeing, and education and employment guidance, to help people rebuild their lives and stay housed. Through a combination of dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partnerships, Depaul Ireland works to make sure no one faces homelessness alone.
The paintings are a shift from Norman’s style of romantic landscapes and scenes of Dublin streetscapes.
The Homelessness Collection was developed under projects such as “Streets of Dublin”, driven by a mission to use art to raise awareness and spark empathy for those experiencing homelessness.
Norman turns his signature impressionistic lens onto one of the most pressing realities of contemporary Ireland. This is an amazing opportunity to own a piece of Norman Teeling art that is looking to ‘Humanise the Invisible’, ‘Portray the Contrast of a Bright City vs Dark Reality’, and showcase ‘Art for Social Purpose’.
