Opened in 2016 as a direct response to the rise in the number of rough sleepers in Dublin. Depaul’s Little Britain Street service originally provided 63 beds. That figure rose to 89 over the next few years.
In late 2018 Little Britain Street transitioned from an Emergency service to a fully Supported Temporary Accommodation (STA) service providing 86 beds. This change now provides those experiencing homelessness with a secure bed so they can gain stability in their lives. Service Users are also provided with a dedicated key-worker so their time spent in homeless accommodation is as short as possible.
