History:

Originally opened in 2015 as an Emergency Cold Weather Initiative; a humanitarian response to homelessness during the coldest months of the year. In 2019 Mount Brown transitioned to a Supported Temporary Accommodation (STA) service.

What we do:

Mount Brown provides 28 bed spaces for men, women and couples experiencing homelessness. Each service user has an individual care plan, needs assessment and the support of a dedicated key worker to aid in their transition away from homelessness.

Hot meals are provided and each room is en-suite. Service users have their own room key and are encouraged to be independent.

Where we operate:

Mount Brown service is situated in Dublin 8.

Partners:

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive. We also work closely with a number of support agencies including Merchants Quay Ireland and Dublin Simon’s Usher’s Ireland service.

Referrals:

Referrals are accepted through the Dublin Region Homeless Executive Central Placement Service.
