Above all this year’s report showcases the work, resilience, and spirit of our service users, volunteers, and staff while highlighting the growing importance of our services. Reaffirming our commitment to a trauma-informed, housing-led, and low-threshold approach, the needs and voices of our service users remain at the very heart of our service provision. Across 44 services, our operations were supported by 217 volunteers who dedicated over 21,181 hours to making a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve.

The report outlines a year of significant progress against a backdrop of rising demand and an increasingly complex operating environment. While Depaul delivered record-breaking results in moving people out of emergency accommodation and into long-term homes, with 914 households and 1,452 individuals moving out of homelessness, the scale of the ongoing housing and cost-of-living crisis placed unprecedented pressure on frontline services. While managing 811 emergency beds, frontline staff conducted 75,254 keyworking sessions, responded to 140 overdoses (saving 80 lives through Naloxone administration), and assisted 5 babies born within our services. Teams also addressed profound mental health needs, supporting 1,361 service users facing mental health concerns and responding to 273 incidents of suicidal ideation and 129 incidents of self-harm.
