Depaul Health Initiative

People experiencing homelessness, particularly those experiencing chronic homelessness and with complex needs often find themselves on the margins of, or excluded from mainstream health services which results in worse health outcomes across the lifespan. Depaul has long championed strategies and interventions designed to increase access to healthcare for the people we serve.

What we do:

Our nursing team provides daily healthcare interventions to people residing in a number of our high support accommodation services such as wound care, chronic illness management, discharge planning, health promotion and preventative care.

The nursing team provides support and oversight to our team of healthcare assistants and the wider services staff team  in areas such as vaccination programmes, complex cases and health promotion. The team also facilitates inreach GP Clinics and triage in a number of our services.
