Cloverhill family accommodation based service opened its doors in 2008 and has been providing high quality accommodation and support to families since then.

Cloverhill offers 18 self-contained, two-bedroom apartments, each equipped with its own bathroom, living/dining room, and separate kitchen. The facility includes communal spaces such as two lounges, large indoor and outdoor play areas, a laundry room, and an arts and crafts room. Recent facility upgrades include a new heating system and fresh paint across flats, common rooms, and corridors, with kitchen replacements planned for the near future.
Once living in the service, each family is paired with a designated Caseworker. Together, they conduct Safety and Wellbeing Assessments as well as Needs Assessments to establish bespoke, co-produced, trauma-informed Support Plans. These plans cover practical and personal goals—ranging from managing healthcare and isolation to developing lifelong skills and employability—aimed at helping families maximise housing points to secure permanent accommodation. Depaul’s dedicated child support worker also provides tailored one-to-one support for children navigating the impact of homelessness.
To foster a supportive community, Cloverhill offers year-round activities, including seasonal celebrations (Eid, Easter, Christmas, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Men’s/Women’s Days), summer outings, and multicultural cooking events where families share traditional meals. Once families transition out of Cloverhill into their permanent home, they can continue to receive assistance through our Family Services Floating Support Service for an additional 12 weeks.
Our Impact (May 2025 – May 2026) Between May 2025 and May 2026, Cloverhill supported 31 families, representing 85 individuals (40 adults and 45 children). The service successfully met its annual targets by empowering families to break cycles of deprivation through employment and continuous learning opportunities.
Cloverhill service is based in West Belfast.
Cloverhill is jointly managed by Depaul and Radius Housing Association and funded by the Supporting People Programme.
We collaborate with a broad network of community, institutional, and corporate partners, including NIHE Housing Solutions, Newington Housing Association, PWC, Allstate, AXA, local Women’s Centres, Ashton, Foodbank, Haven, Surestart, Belfast Trust, St Louise’s Comprehensive College, and Rathmore Grammar School.
Cloverhill accepts referrals from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, out of hours referrals from Social Services can be accepted on an emergency basis only.
